boyfriday
I still dream about the latter! I still dream about pole dancers
1ofTheseDays
It's wrong on every conceivable level. Why not just get her a climbing frame then if there is no difference? I was chatting to a friend the other day, who's a deputy headteacher in one of Sheffield's top schools. She told me of a girl who'd been given breast implants as her 18th birthday present from her parents! As you say, I despair. I'l bet the boys in her class never wag school
HeadingNorth
Apparently most people on this forum aren't aware that pole dancing is a highly recommended form of exercise, and extremely popular with any number of women who have no intentions whatsoever of going into the sex industry? The woman in the OP is trying to 'sexualise' her children, in my opinion..somehow I don't think a 7 yo is in need of pelvic floor exercises. Alastair
I guess it can go either way Saffy, I was really surprised to discover Tyger Drew-Honey, the 'serious' eldest child in the BBC's sitcom Outnumbered, is the son of porn stars Ben Dover and Linzi Drew! How come his name isn't Tyger Drew-Dover then? Are you saying Ben Dover isn't his father's real name?

Precisely, there's a huge difference. It's highly distasteful and inappropriate, in the same way that those child beauty pageants are in the States, with women trying to live vicariously through their daughters by dressing them up as mini adults and treating them like dolls. spindrift
Pole dancers should sod off back to Poland, I read a poll that there are too many polls here.

emmaaa
Would you allow your 7 year old daughter to pole dance? Of course. I pole dance for fitness, I would have no problem at all with my children doing what I do, it's gymnastics for heaven's sake. What I would have a problem with is having a 7 year old who wants breast implants, and giving botox to a 15 year old! That is what is "sick" about this article, the pole dancing is equally inappropriate and wrong if the mother is teaching it in the sexual way suggested by this article (but it's The Sun!) I've seen kids dressed a lot more inappropriately in town on a Saturday afternoon.
