Halibut
There's more to be proud of than just your nationality. Indeed - so why the term 'proud to English'?
mj.scuba
Indeed - so why the term 'proud to English'? Why just English? People are proud to be Welsh or Scottish or any other nationality?
discodown
Proud is a word generally used to refer the feeling of self satisfaction or self worth at having achieved something as a result of your own efforts. Being born English is a matter of luck - you could just as easily have entered the world as a Uruguayan, a Somali or a Slovakian. Not necessarily. You can be proud to be english. Theres no law or rule to say otherwise. You're just arguing semantics.

discodown
Are you proud to English?I wouldn't say proud as such, more pleased or thankful that i'm British. Better this than be born Kosovo or Sierra Leone some other place that had suffered war or famine or anything like that.
Maxxy
I used to be proud to be British, now I see this country as a joke. I'd live elsewhere if I could.
mj.scuba
I am proud to be English, not just for the sake of what passport I hold though. Being proud of your nationality is also to be proud of your history, heritage, culture, achievements of your people, your way of life etc. That's how it is for me, it's a personal thing, not a definition. rubydazzler
Why can't you?Unless you can pretend to be an asylum seeker or something of that ilk, most desirable countries won't let you in unless you're the right age group and have something they need
