Andy
Was the accident in the UK or in Poland? Is your wife's insurance fully comp or third party? If it's fully comp they should help, surely. The only other suggestion I can make is contact the FSA, ask if they have details of the Polish insurance regulator and then contact them to see if they can put you in touch. It's a long way round but may help.

Unfortunatley she was third party at the time, she's been on my insurance,so no no claims, fully comp was an arm and a leg,so we went third party untill she got some no claims built up....the accident happened in the uk. Alex C.
Try emailing or ringing some of these? http://www.compensalife.eu/EU/show.asp?docID=se.company.contacts&lngID=en it's for the life insurance side of things, but they probably can give you the relevant contact details. Tradescanthia
The best of British luck my friend, the police even have difficulties checking Polish insurance details. I think you will get a large dose of "Sorry, me no understand."

alchresearch
If there is no doubt the other driver was in the wrong and you have witnesses then I'd put the matter in the hands of a solicitor. You'll waste hours of time, effort and money otherwise. Let them do the legwork for you.
