scottsmith
There is also a little matter of privacy ,the police will not investigate anything like this when the "evidence" has been obtained illegally..i.e snooping Sure, because if I came across a severed head in someones filing cabinet, the Police would tell me they won't do anything, as I obtained the evidence "illegally" as I was snooping in their filing cabinet. skinz
I am saying there's no proof of any crime you just dont stick your nose on what Im guessing is just either a hunch or simply mis representation of the "facts" There is also a little matter of privacy ,the police will not investigate anything like this when the "evidence" has been obtained illegally..i.e snooping I wouldn't worry to much. It's more than likely a wind up thread anyhoo.

NoddyHolder
Which isn't illegal, it should be noted. I beg to differ, even the police cant obtain evidence like this without a search warrant it would be thrown straight out of court...Data protection anyone ? NoddyHolder
Gary Glitter would be interested in that observation. The difference with the Gary glitter scenario is he took his computer to a third party and left it on their premises with authority to use it

The police don't need authority other than a search warrant. I believe.

skinz
Yep the clues in the words search warrant needed They wouldn't need a search warrant if they have the evidence. On what basis do you think the police apply for a search warrant?
