ValleyBoy
I spent one and a half hours on the treadmill yesterday [ min 4 mph none stop ] , for the all singing and dancing machine to tell me i had burnt off a grand total of 38 calories , not even a packet of cheese and onion crisps . Lady Star
Looks like the machine wasn't working - not you! Obviously 90 mins strolling will burn off more than a packet of crisps... You may be better off working harder for a shorter time next time however - If you can't run (not everyone is able to, bad joints etc) try a cross trainer, or a tread climber is even better as is designer to work more muscle groups and you cannot run on it... Good luck!

Amaranthus
The machine wasn't working correctly. To run for that long and only burn 38 calories is impossible.
Amaranthus
Also, it's not just about burning calories, you'll be improving your aerobic fitness and strengthening your heart and lungs.

He wasn't running, but still 38 calories for a long stroll is not a great deal...
