convert
Essential for nipping out to get a loaf. My problem is it usually takes me an hour or so to fetch a loaf from the local (less than a mile away) shop. I just get in the car, fire up the V8 and have to warm it up correctly . GrannyGranny
How does this work then? I have a 2001 plate 1.9 Multipla, which is giving me 54mpg so far (over the first 1000 miles I've had it) but that's £205 tax. Presumably it'd be better for the environment for me to scrap my perfectly serviceable and efficient car and buy a brand new one, because scrapping and making cars has no environmental cost? Sounds like yours in registered before March 2001 so it goes on engine size hence the £205. If it was after March 2001 it would have been £180. Not saving that much. EmilyM
Mines due at the end of August, its gone up another £7 to £112.75 for 6 months. I really want to buy a car which is cheaper to tax, with a smaller engine (mine's 1.8L), but I haven't got much money!
