swampthing
My tenancy states 'no pet's meaning i cannot have any pets obviously that means permanently but what about looking after pets for 4 or 5 days while someone is away? Would this be acceptable? Just wanted to know if i could get kicked out by the landlord if i did this? Basically they are my pets or sort of my pets but they live with my ex partner and i have been asked to look after them for 4-5 days.
Jew Boy
My tenancy says no pets too and i know my landlord wouldnt want me to have any animal in my flat not even for a day. You should ask him and see if hge can make an exception.
taxman
Our landlord paid several thousand pounds to change the carpets and rid the house of cat smell/hair before we moved it. I think he'd be well within his rights to cancel the tenancy if we looked after cats or dogs for even a few days. A pet spider, rat or snake might be OK though. vwkittie
No pets generally means NO PETS. Ask your landlord!
llamatron
The alternative is not letting them find out. It is only a week and if the pets destroy the carpet the landlord has your bond to pay for it. If he/she can't tell they have been there it will not matter.
chimay
How many and what sort of pets? You could risk not telling your landlord but is she/he likely to visit or do you have nosy neighbours who might grass on you?
