grinder
Yeh, its a certainty ... I used to go to there and it was above the ice rink. It closed for a while and changed to Stars. Underneath the Silver Blades ice rink was the ten pin bowling which changed to the Alhambra music hall. The building is only 2 stories high the Function rooms/night club were on the same level as the Ice rink the 2ND floor. Down stairs was at different times Balling ally/Alhambra/ Mecca bingo the double fronted entrance (town side) was for the stars and the Mecca bingo. The entrance at the other end of the frontage was for the Silver Blades Ice rink, which was turned into a roller skating arena. Just around the corner was the entrance to the Grosvenor casino.. The Bingo closed down 2/3 years ago and as far as I know the lower floor is now all casino... I believe the building, carpark, and the bowling green along side are all now owned by the Rank organisation...
