Murder trial collapses

Recommended Posts

Has anyone seen the star this morning (1/7/10)

The front page and 2nd page is about a murder trial that has been going on for 3 months and then the police / CPS have just dropped their case and offered no evidence so the six accused men are free.

After £1,000,000 case 10 months in jail and the amount of upheavel it has caused the families involved, including the victims family who now have no answers to their loved ones murder , should anyone be brought to book for this blunder.

Hopefully the police will continue their investigation into who is responsible for this murder.

does it say why they dropped it tho, there could be a good reason to why they dropped it, but might not be public

According to the Star, mel, it's collapsed because some evidence, which could have helped the Defence, was not disclosed.

Police not doing their job properly, withholding evidence that could help the defence.

In other words going all out to convict the defendants regardless of the facts.

You are confusing the police with the CPS - different agencies.

You're rather quick to jump on the 'police not doing their job properly' since the public are not yet in full possession of the facts surrounding this announcement.

Since when have the police been responsible for convicting anyone?

Yes I am, the police provide the evidence to the CPS, and a 3 month trial falling apart means they didn't do their job sufficient enough to warrant the million pounds wated on the trial.

Evidence has been withheld anyway wether by the police or CPS who all crap in the same pot.

Why is the title of the thread 'murder of a policeman'?

It was the murder of takeaway boss Safrajur Jahangir

I dont know why the thread name has changed

It was originaly posted on the Sheffield discussions forum but has been moved

the original name of the thread was

Murder trial Police fiasco

It must have got mixed up when it was moved

and it was the take away boss but didn't want to put names in
