percy filth
I have just walked along our road and noticed that someone is putting up a large shed in the front garden. I thought it most unusual because the houses around here have very large back gardens. I can't say that I've seen another front garden shed and wonder if it is actually allowed as it is yards in front of the building line.
smithy266
I don't think sheds need planning permission
carosio
As far as I'm aware, there should be no outbuilding forward of the principal elevation, ie, the Building Line. I have never seen a shed or garage that breaks this rule so I assume it to be correct.

BananaSplit
Why would you want to report this? What harm does this shed do you?
HeadingNorth
Why would you want to report this? What harm does this shed do you? The latter question is an irrelevance.
BananaSplit
No it's not. But if the OP is anything like you, it'll get reported for the sake of reporting and being a jobsworth.
HeadingNorth
No it's not. Yes it is! Things which are illegal are still illegal whether they cause a problem to anybody else or not.
topdog
Our neighbours over the road have a shed in their front garden, I wouldn't have thought it is illegal - but I think you should give the council a ring and find out what, if any, permission you need, someone may need to come and have a look where it's going to be etc. better be safe than sorry! BananaSplit
Aww you didn't quote me in full. I called you a jobsworth and I stand by that. You are typical of a busy body who has got nothing better to do. Well sorting out a 15k debt must be tiresome!
