Livid
Hi All, I'm after some advice as to whether I need to renew my passport as I look a bit different than my passport picture 9 years ago. I don't think its dramatically different although one of the guys at work said he reckons they would probably look twice. Has anyone changed theirs due to getting older ?, mines just a case of weight but I think its pretty much similar and I guess the people who check them are used to this sort of thing. Anyone renewed theirs for same reasons ?
hockers666
you still have a year on your passport so no , unless you have had major plastic surgery that is
HeadingNorth
IT would need to be dramatically different to cause any problems. Such things as dyed hair and new beards have never rendered a passport unusable, but if you've lost an eye or an ear, or you now have a livid red scar that wasn't there before, it might just do so. Flying Duck
You can renew your passport up to 9 months before expiry without losing any time (ie you would get 10 yrs 9 months on the new one), so sit it out for 3 months then change it.
Saddler
Unfortunately , change your passport for a cost of £49.
DT Ralge
But a good few countries require you to have at least six months' validity left on your passport when you travel so maybe you shouldn't delay getting a new one anyway.
