Raoul Moat - one and only thread.

Recommended Posts

In 2000 he was arrested on conspiracy to murder in relation to a Newcastle gangland killing, but was released without charge.

A nasty piece of work.

is this the reason behind the (alleged)police vendetta against him ?remember the police can take a year of your life from you on a trumped up charge remanded in prison then let go when no evidence to convict you :loopy:.remember the birmingham6/guildford 4etc dont just presume the police cant be criminal

raoul moats brother is on sky news saying he was walking to the river to give himself up !!!!!! how many people take a loaded shotgun with them to give themselves up ??? and why walk to the river why not walk up the high street in the village.

He had been in the high street earlier and had no luck. :)

Arrested 12 times since 2000, Moat had been charged on seven occasions, but convicted only once – for assault on a child, for which he served his recent prison sentence. In 2000 he was arrested on conspiracy to murder in relation to a Newcastle gangland killing, but was released without charge.

A nasty piece of work.

12 arrests and one convition,id say it points more to police harrassment than to him being a nasty piece of work not that im going to judge as im like you i dont have the facts and probably never will.

Who cares ........... there is now one less mudering scumbag in society.

What beggers belief is how many people on here are defending this murderer.

I don't feel it's a case of people defending him but more one of casting doubt on what the Police have said in their press releases and the way they have actually operated. This is now, one day after the event casting doubt in many peoples minds as to what actually happened.

Press and cameras and any other witnesses moved away "for their own safetey" Their constant comments that they wanted a peaceful end to the situation and yet they're lined up in front of him pointing an array of weapons.

A clearly vicious looking officer glaring at him, it just doesn't seem to match up with the police claims and aims. Then all the commotion at the end followed by not allowing the Paramedics Ambulance in for half an hour.... somethings not right.

It's not a case of people supporting a criminal or being Police haters, the issue is wanting to trust and believe those who we entrust our safetey to and being confident in the knowledge that things were handled as fairly and correctly as they claim.

I wonder if the Police shot any video of the final moments?

Of course they did but you wont see it.Quite a few houses over looked the area so it maybe some other video will come to light at some point but for now we will have to be satisfied watching the repeats of sadams hanging :(

And risk cross fire where the police could accidentally shoot their own? Not going to happen.

Well you should read a little more from whats been reported this morning.

He wrote/told Police he was going to shoot more Police, many said it would end if suicide by cop.

Moat would have ended it earlier if that was his intentions, the police had started to gain his trust until he was shot at with a Taser.

If he really wanted to die he would have fired at the police and he did not.

My question is why did the police decided to sneak up on Moat when he wasn’t putting anyone under any further risk?, it was only a couple of hours earlier that police said we have Moat contained and we will give him all the time he needs, we want to end this incident peacefully

While some of you continue to scatch around for the slightest resaon to excuse his behaviour , everything from he had a bad childhood( the standard ,usual excuse) to he was upset because he didnt get a toy with his happy meal will be used as pathetic reasons to defend this murdering scumbag will be used by some of you to try and make out he wasn`t a physco.

Whoever fired the fatal shot , and however it was done matters not one bit . The bottom line a murdering scumbag was taken out of the picture permenantly.

Remember ,this is a man who had killed one person ,and shot two more , including a police officer .

Im sure some of you will continue to shout from your anti police soap box , but im happy in the knowledge that the boys in blue cornered this animal , and ended the manhunt.

Moat is dead , he cant kill anyone else and we no longer have a crazed killer out there with guns .

It dosn`t matter who pulled the trigger for the fatal shot - its job done .

indeed, after his initial "stezzing out" it seems he didnt shoot anybody else like he said he was going to do.....he had about 7 days on the run in which he couldve carried on shooting people
