Raoul Moat - one and only thread.

Recommended Posts

People with severe non survivable head injuries do not always die quickly, I've known of unconscious people with horrific head injuries that are obviously not going to survive, still take an hour for their heart to stop beating.

If there is video evidence of this incident, you're right the police will have to give to the IPCC, as they will with any of the evidence. It shouldn't be released to the general public though.

Raoul's brother said that Raoul was dead on the scene.

Why shouldn't it? We need to have trust in the police that SERVE US.

Did he? I'll take a medical opinion over his. Raoul may have been unconscious and unrousable but his brother would not have been able to determine if he was dead or not.

The police shouldn't be releasing videos of people dieing to the general public, it serves no purpose.

First point, fair enough.

Why the need for such secrecy? If people WANT to see public executions, or deaths, there are plenty on youtube. It does serve a purpose. It's about transparency and accountability and trust.

That may have been the case 30 or 40 years ago, but since the advent of the police state instituted by Thatcher in the early 80's they have been a mouthpiece, and tool of the Establishment.

They run the show, dont be fooled by the nice guys in the documentary programmes you see on TV.

Youtube and the the police are two completely different organisations with two different goals, you cannot compare the two.

The police sent in their expert negotiating team and soon after he shot himself.:suspect:

worked a treat then, should have just said 'go on then' saves us paying for him to be locked away.
