Rupert_Baehr
Less chance that this will be a problem then, but if you regularly suffer muscle pain after moderate or usual exercise, it might be worth asking for a blood test to eliminate rhabdomyolysis as the cause. Cyclone
That may be true, but rather would be unfit than having Fibromyalgia Muscle soreness from doing some work is really not the same as FM chronic widespread pain and allodynia, a heightened and painful response to pressure. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I don't have a medical condition. If I don't push myself to lift as much as I can I don't suffer from DOMS much at all, I'm sure the pain is just coming naturally from the muscle tearing microscopicly. In my post I used the words 'moderate' and 'usual'. If you exercise hard you can expect to be a bit sore afterwards but it the exercise was 'normal' exercise and there was unusual soreness - get it checked. About 3 years ago I began to experience sore muscles after walking 5 miles or so. - The muscles were sore after the walk and they were still sore the next day. I ordinarily walk rather more than 5 miles so the pain was occurring after less than usual amounts of exercise. I had a blood test and it was indeed rhabdo. - I was taking simvastatin at the time and it's a known side effect.
