tigsthecat
you could try the blue ball at wharncliffe side or the old horns pub at bradfield. Both do a very good sunday carvery and are only 5 mins away by car. The old horns has a beautiful view across low bradfield too.

miaowwoof
Managed to find old horns pub on google maps and for someone who doesn't know the area I would really struggle with directions looking at it :/
tigsthecat
For the old blue ball all you need to do is turn left at the bottom of the wadlsey park village and continue on middlewood road all the way to wharncliffe side. The pub is in your left hand side.
miaowwoof
What's it like? Is it countryside round it? I've no idea what wharncliffe side is :/
tigsthecat
Wharncliffe Side is a village. To the side of the pub is a road leading to the countryside. A little further on from the pub is a resevoir which has a lovely walk around it. Cant remember what it is called, think its Ewden, but it is very nice. Just before the pub is road called green lane which leads you upto another lovely nature park called Glen Howe Park. Absolutely lovely to walk through. If you can get to the traffic lights at Wisewood school and head towards Loxley keep going in a straight line, when you get to the dam at Bradfield keep going up the hill and you will reach the church Horns is across from the church.
