Darth Vader Posted July 17, 2010 Share Posted July 17, 2010 This is just a heads up. I purchased 5 year insurance at the time of purchase along with my dishwasher from Comet last year. This morning I have received a letter with Comet's logo at the top left, and Domestic and General at the top right, informing me that my manufacturer's insurance is about to run out, and I can now purchase extended protection from them. I phoned Comet, and they confirmed that I have insurance until 2014. They said it's with AON, but they have obviusly allowed my details to be shared with Domestic and General who have written me this letter and sent me a direct debit form. Someone who had forgotten, or who takes letters at face value, would presume they were not insured and might be paying twice for the protection. I am livid that Comet's logo appears on this letter, after they sold me the insurance in the first place. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
