patty1142
You therefore have no right to complain about any action taken by any enemy we are ever fighting, whatever they do to our troops. and here we are the enemy within
Bassman62
The difference between me and you is that i don't think that either side should be doing it. The irony is of course that your views aren't particularly far from the talibans, if you, like them, think it is ok. Then difference between us, the taleban and the insurgents in Iraq is that they behead live prisoners, we don't.
Bassman62
Isn't that a contradiction, "they obey the rules" and "if they do not" ?Is that the best shot you've got.

Bulgarian
Is that the best shot you've got. "shot" ? I'm just pointing out the contradiction, it's what people do when they are discussing something.
frank ryan
just more red tape to make the british politicians look good ,the soldier only did what he thought was the best option in optaining proof of identity, its something the gurkhas have done before , not only does it give the proof required it also sends a message to the enemy, the same enemy that made several videos of captives being beheaded and posted them on the media networks leave the soldiers to do their jobs ,war is dirty and we need men that can fight fire with fire ,no gurkha was ever taken out of service when they beheaded enemies during the malayan and borneo campaigns so why now ? its political red tape rubbish that the regiment doesnt need ,after all they lost three collegues this week who were unarmed and sleeping when an enemy killed them in their camp ,bury the dead ,honour the brave and kick the beurocrats out of their high paid very safe jobs if they have such an attitude to those who get their hands dirty in the name of britain oh dear - this man desecrated his dead enemy, what if some afghani did it to a lad from sheffield? would you argue the same? depoix
oh dear - this man desecrated his dead enemy, what if some afghani did it to a lad from sheffield? would you argue the same?why would i argue in defence of a terrorist enemy ? they hold no rules of combat so deserve to be treated the same as they treat our soldiers ,unfortunatly we have people who have a comfortable office /job with the power to bring our troops up for trial for doing much the same as the enemy does ,an enemy that has no scruples when it comes to murder and torture of others ,even non combatants such as women who learn to read ,go out without a male escort etc ,no i would not argue the same in defence of an enemy terrorist ,i would leave that to the anti british troops element
