slimsid2000
Henry Tudor was certainly one of England's more colourful monarchs, but what is your view of him? What do you regard his greatest achievments to be and what were his biggest failings. For example he certainly put the Pope in his place and enjoyed his food, but he also decapitated a couple of his wives. Do you think he should be regarded as a femanist icon or just a a fat, flatulant, syphalitic old glutton.
back2basics
My main issue is he destroyed all those great buildings we now visit as ruins. Not a big Church fan, but he could have left them.
slimsid2000
He must have been pretty influencial if he is still remembered all these years later. How many kings and queens has history forgotten because they have done so little either for good or ill. For that matter what will Elizabeth II be remembered for (but that's another topic). Queen Elizabeth II won't really be remembered because the only role the Royal family play in this country is as an expensive tourism board advert aimed at the Yanks. sugarnspice
I would say that he was a pretty good King, though his right hand men did most of the work. But a remarkably bad husband.
