Give duff details, then when he confirms your duff name etc, continue with the call continuing to give duff, plucked out of the air details.... Scammer: "Yes, can you confirm your name for me" You: "Mr S.C. Ammer" Scammer: "Date of Birth?" You: "1st January 1901" Scammer: "Right - can you confirm your address and postcode...." You: "Yes" Scammer: "Go on then - what's your address" You: "You asked me to confirm it, I'm waiting for you to give me the address so I can confirm it" Scammer: "I see...."
