The last of the Mitford sisters.

The remaining Mitford sister in Chatsworth once famously said that she would rather have taken tea with Elvis than Hitler - She is a huge Elvis fan though... You question last year regarding if Deborah Mitford would prefer the Hitler youth to our own youth, I am sure she would prefer anyone who liked Elvis! Just because your sisters schmooze with the enemy, doesn't mean that you yourself hold the same political ideals... Any yes, Kick Kennedy married into the cavendish family, not the Mitford family, and died in the UK... She was many years older than her famed President brother, and died in a plane crash...

the Mitfords should have been lined up against the wall and shot after the war like the Romanovs were, and their lands turned into a collective headed by Herbert Morrison and staffed by former Polish airmen.

This family history is really fascinating, One in love with Hitler, another related to Churchill, another married to Mosley and had her wedding at Goerings house, the son wouldn't fight the Germans but was killed fighting the Japs, etc, etc, it goes on and on.

In a quite convoluted way, yes... Kick Kennedy would have been the Duchess next, but her husband died, so the next Duchess was Deborah... Nancy's sisters husbands relative (brother?) married Kick...

Or rather Kathleen Kennedy's husband, William John Robert Cavendish, Marquess of Hartington, was heir to the title which upon his death then went to his younger brother, Andrew Robert Buxton Cavendish who became the 11th Duke of Devonshire and Deborah Mitford became the Duchess of Devonshire upon marriage to him. . .
