No charges in G20 death of Ian Tomlinson - Pc Harwood found not guilty.

Of course it's relevant but you or I can't comment on it because you and I weren't there. But we do have vid evidence of the time he received the fatal blow. Warnings, orders etc are just a smokescreen to get around the reality. An arrest would have been sufficient..and a life still in existence.

I have to agree with trautman..I think you're watching another video because the one I watched was of a man... belligerent or not being attacked by a riot officer. Is there an offence that heads under "belligerent"?

Hold on....one of my girls is being belligerent. I'm just off to set Bug the cat on her and give her a damn good hiding with a broom stick.

My, you are a vicious lot on here, what with attacking folk outside a pub with a dog and snooker cue and setting the cat on the kids

Do you know exactly what the fatal blow was Alien ?

I watched the video linked on this thread, the thing is though, I watched it with open eyes and forgot to put my blinkers on, I did see him standing still, I did see the officer apparently strike him with a baton, I did not see him flinch when apparently struck, I did see him sauntering along and I did see him walking briskly past the camera after and towards the protesters in the opposite direction to where he was walking originally

I then had to question if I could believe all that I was seeing and hearing.

The answer I came up with was NO.

I'll leave you to it.

You are obviously convinced that the footage showing a man walking with his hands in his pockets is evidence that the police were justified in forcibly knocking him to the floor, and that such action by those paid to protect and serve him does not warrant further investigation, although you have repeatedly failed to explain why any of the many things you imagine Mr Tomlinson may have been doing would justify such treatment when he was posing no threat, nor have you explained why, if he was such a threat, he was not arrested, or why the police initially refused him medical aid.

I do not agree.

We'll see what happens. Your 'I have spoken' act suggesting that this is all done and dusted is a little irritating, as I am sure you intended. I thought you'd be pleased to know that.

Good evening.

Nothing wrong with that is there ?

Good evening ;)

Mr Tomlinson was told to move oyt of the way ,but refused. He was clearly trying to cause a confrontation with the police.

see my commoent above

What question marks ? he was doing his job under provocation from Mr Tomlinson ,who refused to get out of the way .

As the newsreader said yesterday the only videos being shown at present to the public do not show events that took place before the final shove.

No, they gave him warning after warning, quite good of the police dont ya think?

I am sure the whole episode demonstrates what a wonderfully tolerant police force we have. What a shame they are so modest and insist on their anonymity - you could nominate them for some sort of award.

I would say after reading/watching the whole story then yes it does show how tolerant they are.

At last, we agree Bozo ;)

The only viciousness has been clearly demonstrated by the boyz in Blue...and those in support of them.

Considering x2 pathology reports agreed with one another I would say being attacked by a blunt instrument, considering there is no evidence of assault after the vid.

I am sure our humble servants of the law will only be too delighted that digital technology assures that their fastidious attention to serving the great British public will no longer go unnoticed. It wouldn't surprise me if they eventually have their own allotted spot on the evening news (watershed permitting). We are indeed entering a new era.

So, to be clear, if at any point in the future you happen to express your disagreement in a non violent way with a police officer, you would feel you deserved to be hit with a baton and thrown to the floor?
