Wildcat
Yes baton whacked and then a vicious shove to his right shoulder. The Coroner should be sacked too for his part in the cover up.... appointing a pathologist the police knew would give them the outcome they wanted regardless of evidence like internal bleeding, refusing IPCC witnesses access and not telling the family of the post mortem or their rights. http://www.guardian.co.uk/uk/2010/jul/23/ian-tomlinson-death-inquest-coroner And we might as well sack Keir Sterner while we are at it for his pathetic part in this.... we can't prosecute because it is more than 6 months..... 6 months because of an obvious cover up and because of the length of time he has taken to make the decision. http://www.guardian.co.uk/commentisfree/libertycentral/2010/jul/23/ian-tomlinson-ruling-fight-whitewash Sack the lot of them, they are all corrupt and in this whitewash together. Alien
Sack the lot of them, they are all corrupt and in this whitewash together. Bit like some on here who perpetuate the myth that it never happened even though the evidence stares them glaringly in the face. Isn't a lot of difference from those that do and those that support in my book.
icon76
If a protestor had coshed a copper and he'd died as a result then the protestor would be doing life. The usual pig fit-up to protect their own murderers.

boyfriday
I've just viewed the video again the police officer had nothing in either hand when he shoved the man. Now why don't you do the same instead of making silly comments. While ever people like you keep on about an imaginery Truncheon/Batton I'll keep asking you to show it being used. It may have been covered already Bassman, but the existence of a baton is an irrelevancy. The injuries it might have caused were insignificant compared to the push from behind on an unprepared individual. The policeman's actions were reckless, without any consideration of the potential consequences of heaving somebody from behind onto a concrete pavement. Darth Vader
There is now a campaign to help the family raise money to fight this shameful travesty. http://www.iantomlinsonfamilycampaign.org.uk/ You can also make complaints to the CPS here, http://www.cps.gov.uk/contact/feedback_and_complaints/
