As an elected MEP he is eligible so, over the complaints of various organisations, he has received an invitation. But wait! The idiot couldn't keep his mouth shut about it. boyfriday Posted July 22, 2010 Share Posted July 22, 2010 In principle I agree with his right to attend the garden party, in accordance with his invitation as a member of the European Parliament. However, his claim that if given the opportunity to ask the Queen a question he was going to ask her about the illegal war in Afghanistan probably set a million alarm bells ringing at the Palace where the Queen's staff are very careful she isn't used for political purposes. Aside from that I did enjoy a chuckle watching him all dressed up to the nines and indignantly waving his invitation at everybody..he looked like a put upon youth who'd been refused entry to a nightclub because he had trainers on.
