Worjackie
What an utter disgrace, shame on you Government, shame on you. Why? If he can walk 400 metres then he's fit for work.
Funky_Gibbon
I heard him speaking on the radio earlier. He said that he relies on the car he receives via the DLA because while he can walk 400m he's in pain for the rest of the day after doing so. He'll lose that if he loses DLA. HeadingNorth
If he can walk 400 metres, he does not qualify for DLA. Neither does anyone else who can walk that far. My wife was refused DLA on her first application because the tribunal believed she could walk 200 metres. (She couldn't, but they refused to listen to our appeal.) If he remains unfit for work, he will continue to draw whatever the new name for Incapacity Benefit is, which I've forgotten again.
boyfriday
I believe this is mean spirited, anybody who has their limbs blown off in the service of their country should benefit from a more liberal application of the rules, in my opinion.
