Whats your favourite quote?

Recommended Posts

I'm not sure where I heard it, I think it might have been on here, but it was along the lines of :

Women will never be as successful as men because they don't have a wife behind them pushing them in the right direction....

Dont quote me on that though - pardon the punn!! :)

Men...can't live with them-can't live with them :gag:(me circa 1975)

No, it's 'Men... can't live with 'em, can't put 'em through the wood chipper'.

Cool thread :). You can tell a lot about someone by what quotes they like. Post.50 is an exaggerated, but obvious example. :)

"Best Friends Listen to what you dont say"

Who said that? I've googled it but just get shed loads of poems, yet no obvious original poet.

Not sure I can say what is my favourite quote....but I do know that quotes by Oscar Wilde, are by far the most appropriate, ironic, pertinent, and down right amusing!!! That man was a genius.

I agree. :)

"A liar needs to have a good memory".

Stan Tamudo

Very true. On things like forums such as this, liars can be spotted in minutes.

What good fortune for governments that the people do not think.

-Adolf Hitler.

My god, the man knew his stuff (can't see that being a popular comment), however, I think he was right.

I like my current quote, so that is my contribution to the thread :)

"Distrust all men in whom the impulse to punish is powerful".

Friedrich Nietzsche

I like that quote...copied :D

Agree with Ash, you can spot liars on the forum (s) straightaway & their agenda's.
