Jon Venables pleads guilty & gets 2 years

Recommended Posts

for now....there is a heirarchy in prison...and some prisoners wont tolerate what he is in for and his past history.

If he get's out unscarred he will be lucky.

Why just "for now"? If someone kills Venables, he would expect to stay in prison for a very long time.

There you have it, it will be one of those, who have now hope of getting out that will do the deed, they have nothing to lose.

Nothing wrong in hating a convicted child killer.

That people hate him is not a cause for concern. That people intend to murder him means he will, yet again, have to be given a new identity if he ever gets out. (Which, frankly, is likely to be a moot point. Having breached the terms of his licence in a fairly spectacular fashion, it's unlikely he ever will get out.)

Why will he need a new identity ? as far as I understand his current identity has not been compromised

I would have thought that given his record he would now be deemed as an irredeemable danger to children and they'd throw away the key. Surely nobody can possibly believe he will have ceased being a danger in two years time.
