lilypiglet
IMHO, the pill in various forms never suited me, mood swings, weight gain, depression, and actually losing my libido (well that's a great contraceptive...lol) Never looked back since starting Depo injection once every 3 months....no mood swings, no PMT, no bleeds...absloute heaven, and if the time comes to plan a family, it takes a year after coming off injections to start normal menstrual cycle, so planning is quite straightforward...have been on it twice in 10 years!! But then we are all made differently, and it's what suits your body...but would recommend the injection if you're wanting to change from the pill, also as a bonus is that you only have to remember a date to have the jab, and anti-biotics, stomach upsets etc don't interfere with it's efficacy.. mrsv
Sometimes they swap you over if the pill you have been on before is no longer classed as being the safest choice for you. This is what happened with Dianette, as it has a higher risk of stroke than other pills.
