Just seen where a portly gent, called ' The Tango Man ' has been banned from attending a football game in Barnsley. How disgraceful ! The photograph of him in the Star reveals why he is the perfect icon for Sheffield Culture.

Apparently, he takes his shirt off at Sheff. Wednesday games [ well, who wouldn 't !! ] and leads the crowd in supportive chanting----at least we hope it 's supportive and not something like,

' We feel blue at the blue & white,

And so would you,

If you saw this......dreadful football. '

Anyway, how can we ever hope to become ' City of Culture ' if we treat some of our stalwarts in this dastardly fashion. He ought to be given free Tetley 's for life and a huge bowl of tripe, every hour, on the hour.

"We" haven't. He was banned by Barnsley FC.

Someone I know went to their Carling Cup match against Rochdale last season., and he was ejected about 60/70 minutes in,. So he cant be all sweetness and light.
