samsmum
I went in the new card shop at meadowhall by the statues and it was selling some christmas things ... just a couple of racks of christmas cushions and teddies and nick nacks ... i nearly fainted!!! i commented to the assistant who chuckled and agreed it was quite early to be stocking xmas stuff now i dont mind shops selling xmas stuff months early - its an expensive time of year, and why not do early shopping to lessen the financial blow (and lets face it, we save for our holidays over the preceding months, and hols are just as expensive) ... but the shops are getting earlier and earlier every year ... chimay
My local debenhams has had a Christmas tree up since June promoting their Christmas savings club or something like that. Don't forget shops wouldn't sell it if customers didn't buy it.

Ducky1
It's been on the news today that a shop in Rotherham is fully stocked with Christmas goods and a pubs staff are wearing santa outfits. They also said that the council have given £5,000 towards it all. How mad!
