Roop
Dont forget the more unusal cars like silvia. Or the pocket rocket glanza. Or the ever scary stagea. Tho a stagea under 10k would be rare! What are your priorities? Style, speed, cornering, practicality. Do you want to track/drift. What is you maintenance budget and do you want to mod/buy modded. Check the insurance as well. That may tip you one way especially as heavily modded cars can be expensive to insure. Remember if you are running it a lot and its high power you can expect it to drink petrol. No point bvuying a car you cant run.

zedhex
:hihi::hihi::hihi: Exactly. Since when has driving on dirt had anything to do with selecting a good road car?
Treatment
I'd go for a 350Z or some sort of Badboy Skyline GTR Don't think that you would get much 350Z for under £10,000, and it would have the French engine, not the Jap VQ35HR.
Bedders
Exactly. Since when has driving on dirt had anything to do with selecting a good road car? Depends if you are talking about Sheffield roads....they are hardly a scene from the 'Fast and Furious' are they? If you buy a glorified Nascar I'm sure it's great on a billiard ball smooth circuit......but Sheffield roads.....naaaaar!
