ssprite Posted August 1, 2010 Share Posted August 1, 2010 Hi knowledgeable forum types I'm thinking ahead (and procrastinating, at this point in time) about my birthday in October and what might prove to be a decent venue. I'm not sure how many people I'd be talking about yet, maybe up to about 20 but it could be a joint thing so may easily double that. I'm not into clubbing or anything - I'm just after a casual sort of thing with a few drinks (preferably some cocktails!) and the option of food if people want, so a pub seems ideal, but obviously I want to make sure everyone has a place to sit, so wondering about pubs that might be able to section off an area or similar? In terms of area - anywhere from Broomhill down into town. Anyone have any suggestions? Is 20ish enough to look at getting a side room reserved? Does it cost much, if anything? My idea so far has been The Place in Broomhill. I'm not sure I'd be able to book a proper meal out somewhere, people tend to be pretty flakey as to whether they can make such a thing..
