Mecky
I think the British electorate is polarized like the American electorate and that's why you have a coalition government for now. If an election were held tomorrow the results could be very much the same. Cameron may have put his foot in his mouth with a speech or two but those kind of gaffs are hardly sufficient to cause him any political damage, more like a little bad press which will all blow away pretty soon The real test will be how the economy shapes up in the next six months. If it improves considerably and continues to do so into next summer and he gets the troops out of Afganistan he could call a snap election at the end of next year and gain enough seats to be able to dump the LibDems The rule is that the average voter doesnt give a damn about speeches. Just how much money and job security he has is what counts He should call one then and find out. He is running scared, everyone know it, he even knows it himself. Harleyman
He should call one then and find out. He is running scared, everyone know it, he even knows it himself. Why the hell would he want to call an election so soon after the last one? There would be nothing to gain from it. As I've already mentioned he'll wait until the economy starts picking up, exit from Afganistan and with those two feathers in his cap then call an election He'd be stupid to do anything else

Maybe they are just waiting for the coalition to implode.
Bedders
Well Labour hasn't even got around to electing a leader yet which hardly puts them in any sort of position to mount an effective campaign. Maybe they are just waiting for the coalition to implode. Lets hope and pray it's going to be Harriet Harman as that will lose them a good few votes! That woman doesn't know the meaning of equality and seems a proper man hater! http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-430702/How-feminists-tried-destroy-family.html She even takes to wearing stab vests & police escort for her constituency walkabout....sterling job you and the rest of your government did with law and order then!!!! She even met her husband to be on a picket line! Pretty much sums up the shape of politics she'd probably bring to the arena! Bring back the man of principles i say...."The working class can kiss my ass I've got the foremans job at last"......it's all for Pauline...honest http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Prescott
Bedders
I can only assume you are unemployed. No working man would want this idiot. On the flip-side to your comments then.....& by the logic of your way of thinking you must be a scrote, benefits scrounger or nay-do-gooder as they are the only ones to benefit from the last lot....not the working man & woman! Bulgarian
If an election were held tomorrow the results could be very much the same. I'm pretty sure everyone who voted LibDem would think twice about doing it again.
L00b
1939-1945 when Vichy France...that is the state colaborated with the Nazis. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vichy_France Oh, you mean when France was occupied by Nazi Germany (some parts were actually annexed, rather than occupied) and frog-marched at gunpoint into that collaboration... Very representative example
