RickV Posted August 2, 2010 Share Posted August 2, 2010 Greetings; I was wondering if any one would have any info on an edge tool co. named Stormont- Archer Ltd. The co. was in operation from 1902-1978. In 02 it was Stormont a fine edge co. then in the mid 50's it became stormont Archer Ltd.. I have come across a mint condition set of lathe tools from them and cannot find any more info than this. if any one could help in the history and the quality of this companies products it would be greatly appreciated. Alan Stormon Posted December 12, 2010 Share Posted December 12, 2010 Hello, Stormont Archer only came into existance after my Father sold the factory on in 1948, the business started as Stormont in 1899, I have alot of stuff, Blotters, bills sale of house on Carterknowle road, if your interest extends to all this, I will check this site for a little while, otherwise my email is astormont@btinternet.com.
