Best Pub in Sheffield?

Welcome to the beer capital of Britain.

Pook's suggestion is good. I also like The Red Lion on Charles St and The Red Deer, Pitt St.

If it's quiet pubs with no music and real ale you're after then head over to The Kelham Island beer triangle and do The Kelham Island Tav, The Fat Cat, The Wellington then The Hillsborough Hotel and New Barrack Tavern.

The University Arms off Brook Hill roundabout is good also.

And The Harlequin.

And Henrys, Cambridge St

So many to choose from.....

The Kelham Island area is quite possibly the best real ale pub crawl in the whole country what with the Harlequin, the Kelham Island Tavern (CAMRA national pub of the year for the 2nd year running!), The Fat Cat, The Wellington, The Gardeners Rest and so on.

Besides that the Sheffield Tap at the train Station is a bit of a must visit if you like beer as well. Henry's is great, and there's also the Devonshire Cat, The Sheaf View and quite a few other really great places to drink in Sheffield.

My own personal favourite is The Wellington. It has it's eccentricities but it's friendly and it serves great real ale!
