Ms Macbeth
This thread started in a pleasant way to mark the start of Ramadan, so lets leave out the arguments for and against Islam. There have been plenty of opportunities for that in other threads.
Amaranthus
I think I have more of an input on this and believe me no one in their right mind would fast if they were pregnant. Yes. If you see a woman eating during ramadan, she will either be pregnant or on her period; you are not allowed to fast during your period, so women get a week off in ramadan. callippo
Indeed, good luck! It would have been so much easier when Islam was confined to Equatorial countries, though of course harder in Winter! there's only two Muslim majority countries through which the equator passes out of the 14 in total, Somalia and Indonesia. None of the Middle Eastern countries, where Islam first developed and initially spread, are equatorial. There's a difference between 'equatorial' and 'tropical'. Tipex
really? if you have your tea at five, and your breakfast at nine, that's 16 hours! Healthy eating would be small meals every 2-3 hours.
