ClydeHouse
A decent traditional ploughman's (not a salad masquerading as one) at a nice pub can't be much to ask can it? If there are some out there I haven't found them - any ideas people?

rosaespanola
If you're ever in Northumberland, this place does the BEST ploughman's lunches in the world - they make about 20 different types of cheese and you can choose which ones you want with your ploughman's. If you're anything like I am about good cheese, you'll find an excuse to go there! Sadly I've never found one in Sheffield that isn't just a bit of cheddar and some lettuce with a bread roll. The Ladybower Inn and Loch Fyne both have an exceptionally good cheese board on their dessert menus though, that's probably the next best thing to a good Ploughman's! Starlet83
If ever you are out at Barnsley the Cherry Tree at High Hoyland used to do a cracking ploughmans, not been for a year or two tho so cannot promise they still do!

Meaks
Say what you like about Wetherspoon, but the portion of pork pie on their Ploughman's is mahoosive.
ClydeHouse
I like the idea of the cheese board at the Ladybower, and a trip out to High Hoyland wouldn't go amiss. Never thought of Fagan's either. Ta.
