Rahven
I've got a little TV to give away, nothing wrong with it, works perfectly but we were given a bigger and newer one at the weekend. Does anyone know of any charities that might be able to make use of it? Thinking particularly of any that help families who cannot afford it with furniture etc. As I say there's nothing wrong with it, it's just small. Links particularly appreciated. Fognuts
Have you tried putting it on Freecycle (Freegle) or take it to St Vincents furniture store opposite the Earl of Arundle pub, they give out furniture etc to needy families setting up home. Exactly the sort of thing I was after - thank you very much!
iansheff
Ring the British heart foundation at crystal peaks or what about Bluebell wood shop.
Bulgarian
I think charities are a bit funny about electrical stuff, it has to be tested properly to make sure it's safe and they can't do that.
iansheff
Sorry but you are wrong, if you go to the Peaks you will see that The BHF have quite a few for sale so they must get them testeed. Also I have given a printer and scanner to Bluebell Wood so they too must get them tested.
HeadingNorth
Sorry but you are wrong It's correct to say that some charities won't accept them, for the reason given. BHF obviously do, and there are probably some others.

Rahven
Many many thanks for all the replies. St. Vincents have said no because they have too many TVs at the moment (pretty good problem to have ) and am waiting on another charity to get back to me. Bluebell Wood is next on the list to offer to. Cheers again!
