oldprune
Didn't your party support the war Tone? I believe all the main partys supported the war after they had been handed Blair's dodgy dossier.
Tony
I don't have a party. I am quite free to criticise the blood on the hands of Labour and Blair as well as his charitable donation tax dodge from his memoires.
Scutts
A very generous donation from Tony, good on him.
PuressenceUK
Isn't this a bit like Gary Glitter donating half his fortune to Barnado's or the NSPCC?
PuressenceUK
Fair play to the guy I say..l No matter what the reasons it's an amazing thing to do. It would be amazing if £4.6m was every penny he owned and he'd not been reponsible for putting thousands of British soldiers into at best misguided, at worst illegal wars in the first place. He doesn't need the cash - smells like guilt money to me.
Tony
Fifteen grand a British body, not including the maimed. Or less than fifty quid for each dead civilian. Seems cheap compared to the £100m he's made since he retired from warmongering.

aelfheah
He has not offered a penny to the British legion previously, or done anything whilst in power to alleviate the pain or confusion of those afflicted by paranoia...sorry- 'Gulf War Syndrome'
Gordonb
Isn't this a bit like Gary Glitter donating half his fortune to Barnado's or the NSPCC? Sounds good to me. Take the money then go after him, the two don't have to be linked together. If his Toniness is ever taken to task by the International War Crimes mob or whoever, we will still have got the money.
