The ball is bigger but not as soft as the name would suggest, just not as hard as a baseball which is almost like a cricket ball. The main difference is that the pitch is made underhand, and not thrown like baseball. Some of the girl pitchers are very good at fast sinkers, and have been known to completely strike out many well known big league baseball hitters. The Sheffield Bladerunners have a website at sheffieldbladerunners.weebly.com as well as twitter - @bladerunenrsBBC and have a facebook group 'sheffield bladerunners baseball group' .
