canadablade
Have to be Old Trafford for me when I saw Blades vs Newcastle in the F.A. Cup semis in 1998 . Regards Canada Blade
spyro2000
For me unfortunately it has to be Wolves Molineux stadium. I hate to say it, but its a brilliant stadium, very posh and very clean. They certainly take care of it.
Norton
There are too many criteria to take into account when deciding the best away ground: Been to plenty new shiny stadiums: Stadium of Light, Molineux etc. But for me these aren't the best. They lack the atmosphere and character of a lot of the old grounds, and the SoL at least does not have better facilities for away fans. Round stadia like the SoL and Millennium Stadium often suffer atmosphere-wise. Millwall's New Den is quite impressive from the outside, but cramped on the concourse in the away end and you have to run the gauntlet of the caged walkway from the trainstation before and after. Loftus Road is one I've been to twice now. The pitch is tiny and as it's in a housing estate in White City, you can't really walk around the ground. One food outlet is not enough to serve one tier of a stand either Been to some of the famous stadia as well: Old Trafford and Anfield being two prominent ones. Big grounds but I would say poor facilities and cramped seating. I've seen the Blades lose twice at Old Trafford in cup competitions so it definitely isn't my favourite. The atmosphere at Anfield also leaves a lot to be desired until they're winning, despite what the Scousers may tell you. Highbury's away end is an accident waiting to happen because the concourse is too cramped. A move to Ashbourne Grove will rectify this though. Been to a few grounds with scaffolding holding up the stands - Gillingham's Priestfields and Macclesfield's Moss Rose. Both had good food (yummy Gillingham pies) and a good result for the Blades The one which I thought was the best though, was Preston's Deepdale, with the impressive Football Museum as well. Decent facilities (but why oh why do they never put enough women's toilets in?) and a nice looking ground. Darlington's old Feethams ground also holds a soft spot Was a nice wooden stadium with standing close to the pitch. Had a great atmosphere when we visited. Fincon
Of the small grounds, I have to say that Gay Meadow at Shrewsbury was one of my favourites, with the backdrop of the river and town seen over the stands
Dot
Have to agree with Norton about Feethams, it is the only ground I've been to (done approx. 80+ with Blades) where the home fans have been escorted out as the away fans were going in:thumbsup:

bellis
some grounds ive been to and i like for various reasons millwall (the den ) saw 2 cracking games there in 3 months a 4-2 defeat and a 4-4 fa cup classic wolves never seen us win there but the old terrace with the no mans land in the middle was bizzare. rough coppers tho rotherham - we always seem to win or draw there not a very good ground but still worth going to everton never saw us win there but the racket you could make in the wooden seats always livend the place up mansfield remember going there 79 -80 promotion season didnt get in til half time 1-1 draw but out of a crowd of 14 thousand only 4 thousand where mansfield fans blackburn 79 -80 season quite possibly one of my fave owls games ever a 2-1 win which just about sealed our promotion
