Titanic99
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-11107415 So that Osbourne chap isn't doing such a bad job after all. I suspect you've just scored an almighty own goal. Take a look at the graph you've linked to and do a quick count for me of the following: Quarters of growth under Labour Quarters of growth under the Tories Quarters of negative under Labour Quarters of negative growth If I'm not mistaken the score goes something like: Labour 48 positive 6 negative Tories 22 positive 6 negative But you still keep praising them, most of us are old enough to remember them from the last time, hence the reason for lack of enthusiasm for them. Titanic99
Surely there's another factor here not discussed, if the economy is growing faster than expected, then why can't we lessen the cuts that are needed. Just like Labour wanted to do. But that nasty Mr Brown wasn't very photogenic was he!!!!!

Lol, the graph is 1990 - 2010. Labour had 13 out of those 20 years, so they'll obviously have a bigger share of the graph.
Grandad.Malky
Post Election, Tory led coalition government, business breathes a big sigh of relief "Thank goodness the Tory cavalry has arrived, they'll sort this mess out, now lets get spending again". Keep taking the tablets.

I want to see six month's worth of steady growth and interest rates for savers equal to inflation before I start splashing out.

They have shot their best bolt and it has landed, as it is said, I know not where. Lets get them out and get a proper government in for Christs sake. I have not been abroad this year to hear the gossip, but we must be the laughing stock of the world by now. Imagine, Cameron and Clegg as leaders. It is like something out of a whitehall farce. Infact, Cameron does have a look of Brian Rix about him .
Wildcat
It will be lower for the next quarter. I wonder why? http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2010-08-23/cameron-economy-set-to-take-a-pounding-as-traders-turn-bearish.html Cleggeron's austerity measures targeted at the poor and public sector perhaps? And you haven't even included Johnson as Mayor of London in this. I mean you couldn't make it up could you?
