The banks round the side of the playing fields are vitrified stone / timber from then (theres a site somewhere). There are ruins in Brough, near Castleton, that linked the Brough road to Templeborough which goes through Lodge Moor (no ruins there tho im afraid)

Sheffield city council have to keep it maintained because its historic.
Propertydev
Old ordnance survey maps are your best bet. They used to list roads, settlements, forts etc.

The Roman ridge is not the hill fort.

Nagel
Behind the museum in Clifton Park in Rotherham there's lots of Roman remains, but I think they were moved there from Templeborough before the steel mill was built that obliterated the original site. hitch_1980
As for remains.....there is not much to be honest. I was chatting to an expert and he said that for someone reason north derbyshire and south yorkshire, you find hardly any pottery remains....the stuff that archaeologists use to date sites.....there not sure why. The redmires track, they are not sure about. Templeborough is the closest site.....but you wont see anything above ground. There was some stuff found in walkley relating to a tablet from a roman soldier. You may find old track ways on the eastern boundry of sheffield from the roman road between chesterfield and templeborough. Other than that its a bit poor up here. The likely hood in my opinion is the industrial age of sheffield wiped alot of archaeology away, as rivers played an important part of settlements back then.
