I didn,t live at grimesthorpe but used to visit a lot as all my relations did.

You are nearly right Brian,Olive married Sid Toyne ,they had a son Vic who married Norma and Sharon was their daughter,or Olives grandaughter.

thanks for the post

Hi ya sheila,

did you know olive bingley per`sonally, she was always threat`ening and

i know we use to make noises when passing her door.

When us lads came off playing fields we would pass her house going

home, its like she would stand behind her door in the living room waiting

for us to pass.

We would creep pass the door up grimesthorpe rd and she`d come out,

and say - yes i`am watching you all.

One or two of us would answer back like we haven`t said now`t missis,

then once we were up the hill we would sing la la- la la.

Talk about laugh -- memories.

hi ya tin-man, help me out.

I lived 3/4 way up cyclops st on the right side as you went up,

our front door faced the tip if you knew it.

In our back yard were 6 houses with back doors, all 6 houses had

toilets outside.

Over the wall looking into grimesthorpe rd were houses,

there backdoors were face`ing our back yards.

Are they back to back houses.
