Maths question, help

Recommended Posts

If someone worked 23hrs in a month, what would be the average weekly hours worked?

Then the next month, 34hrs, what would be the weekly hr?

Thanks in advance

It depends on the month, but roughly, if you call a month 4 weeks, then it's just under 6 hours a week and 8 1/2 hrs respectively.

Why not just look at how many hours they worked each week (to find the average)? instead of adding them into monthly totals?

Months don't have equal numbers of weeks.

To get any kind of monthly average you want to multiply up to the full year then divide by 52 weeks to account for the differing numbers of days.

23 hours a month averages at 5.3 hours per week and 34 per month at 7.8 per week.

good point that is a much better way of working it out.

half an hour a day?

What is the point in that?

Take your coat off and put it back on , bye bye.

Its an hour on 5 day week but take your point, not worth getting out of bed unless you're getting paid at least £50 an hour, bearing in mind how much it costs to go to work. Travel costs etc:D:thumbsup:
