cgksheff
half an hour a day? What is the point in that? Take your coat off and put it back on , bye bye. Might have been 20 hours one week and 1 hour for the next three weeks!
artisan
Might have been 20 hours one week and 1 hour for the next three weeks! If its work to be done, for some one who is a decent man, and can offer it. Then let it be laid down as a job at the rate for it.
Lockjaw
To get any kind of monthly average you want to multiply up to the full year then divide by 52 weeks to account for the differing numbers of days. Or, if you wish to be precise, divide by 52.14.
Lockjaw
Its an hour on 5 day week but take your point, not worth getting out of bed unless you're getting paid at least £50 an hour, bearing in mind how much it costs to go to work. Travel cots etc:D:thumbsup: How do you know the employee has small children?

Its not half hr a day, its 3hrs 1 day, then 5hrs another then 2 etc, its different on different weeks so awkward to work out.
altus
Or, if you wish to be precise, divide by 52.14. Only if you're slack enough to ignore leap years.

I think Twiglet's was the best answer. Just multiply by 12 then divide by 52. Ignore the 0.14 the sad pedant pointed out ... It makes no real difference for the small numbers you're working with.
