have you heard any racist rap or hiphop music? i have in cars blasting out at meadowhall traffic lights, two or 3 times now. i thought it was disgusting but given recent events ill report them in future.

 

So what exactly were the offending lyrics you heard?

 

Because I've got about 50 hip hop/rap tracks on my iPod and there's no racism at all.

 

They include eminem, snoop dog, 50 cent, dr dre, Etc.

 

Yeah the black rappers say 'nigga' in their songs, but if it's a black rapper saying it how can it be racist?

 

I've been listening to rap/hip hop for years and never heard anything racist, but obviously you, after hearing 5 seconds of a song in a car, have, so let me hear the lyrics?

I think the point of the OP was that some poor buggers got a "racialist" criminal record for a exceprt from a C4 film which is not illegal as the ethnic who grassed him up felt it "offensive!" She wasn;t even the ethnic type in question.

 

So as the law stands that's legally correct, so we can grass up ethnics who play racist rap and they should all go to jail. Except of course they should not and nor should have the poor chap who the ethnic persecuted in the first place.

 

The laws around perception of racial offence are a disgrace and need changinging for the protection of everyone.
