evildrneil Posted September 9, 2010 Share Posted September 9, 2010 Given that we now live in a increasingly globalised world and people are moving around more and more lets assume for a moment that immigration into the UK is a given. This being the case how do you think immigration should be dealt with. I'm going to give four options here but feel free to add you own. 1. Hard multiculturalism: all cultures are deemed equal and co-exist and none is promoted. 2. Soft multiculturalism: all cultures are deemed equal and co-exist but some central cultural mores and language are promoted. 3. Melting pot: culture evolves as new cultures are assimilated. 4.
