I think you forgot to add 'lazy' to your list? I'm all for posts seeking advice on issues or problems.....but the posts like 'Where can i get?'.... really I just don't get them! That's the point of the net...stick it in your search engine.

Add insecure to the list. Threads requesting validation for their own point of view or decision are dull normally. They could be different if people were more open to a different view.

 

I'm not sure why people are so worried about being wrong. I'm wrong all the time.....just ask my other half.

i'm sure there are more arguments/trolling/spaming on here than, say, a specialist forum (stamps, medals, marbles, you get the idea)

 

i personaly dont mind the sillyness and banter on here, but as with most forums, rule number 1 must be USE OF SMILIES:hihi:..it's sometimes very hard to tell if someone is being serious/sarcy/joking. Then before you know it.......WW3!!!!

 

the people who just pain annoy me are the trolls:rant: post first, think later, grrrr, why do they have to reply to EVERY thread?

 

the other ones are the "i'm a bit mad/crazy, women" women who in every post have to show how bizzare they are!! whats that all about? i'm sure they are just bored and cant hold conversations in real life , lol.

I don't mind a good debate, but on the sheffield forum it always seems to be the same thing- immigrants. Someone will be ignorant about it and then someone will be condescending and PC about it. I don't want to hear either of that to be honest.

One of the positive points is that it brings together people who wouldn't give each otherthe time of day in real life and, while that inevitably results in the madness described above, it means that both sides are being, at the very least, exposed to opposing views which cannot be a bad thing.

 

I've learned a lot about the absurd level of generalisation which goes on in some people's heads.
