Why is Dianne Abbott being weird, she's not racist is she?

Recommended Posts

she's always been prone to accusations of reverse-racism. Even 20 years ago, she attacked 'blonde haired, blue eyed nurses, who can't speak the language', even though they could, probably better than most West Indians, from places like Norway, Holland, and Sweden getting jobs in the NHS, because they weren't black. She wanted Jamaican and Bajan nurses to get preference, even though they're not European.

she advocated black sections in the Labour party, when everybody now realises that would have been a terrible idea.

I was only a youngster in those days, but I didn't like to read that because I thought that if ever I do get ill twenty or thirty years down the line, I'd prefer to be nursed by some ice-cool Skandi hot chick, than some lard assed West Indian fattie that's had about three kids, and stressed out of their minds, because they couldn't see the point of using contraception.

Andrew Neil grilled her on why she aparently said "West Indian mums will go to the wall for their children". Now i can't see how that in itself is a racist comment, but Andrew neil was making out that she was implying that Black mums love their kids more than, say, white mums, which again i thought was a bit unreasanable and unfair.

Now, surely Dianne could have easily put this to rest by simply saying that of course she wasn't saying that Black mums love their kids more than white mums, but when Andrew Neil repeatedly prompted her to do just that, she repeatedly rufused to do so, saying, "Andrew, i have nothing more to say on it".

Very strange.

Lol....I don't thnk she is being weird or strange. I just don't think she wanted to answer Andrew's Q) & she decided to have a Ross moment with her Annnnndreeeewwww response! Brilliant. That is one way to dodge a Q) Michael's face is priceless through out the interview..OooPps.

Andrew Neill was trying to make an issue out of nothing. She never used the word Black Mothers like he implied.

I doubt that Scandinavian nurses could speak English better than West Indian ones, since English is the 1st language of West Indians.

The implication is that West Indian mums care more for their children than other mothers, just because they're West Indian.

Certainly sounds like racism to me.

As Andrew "brillo pad" Neil pointed out, had someone said that about white Anglo Saxon mums, there would have been an uproar.

Other examples of Abbotts racist outlook:

Diane Abbott in race row after calling Cameron and Clegg 'two posh white boys'

The blue-eyed blondes who don't belong

She is also, of course, a staggering hypocrite (as many a Champagne Socialist is), a fact demonstrated when she criticised Tony Blair and Harriet Harman for sending their kids to private schools and yet sent her own son to.... a private school.

Diane Abbott was criticised yesterday after playing the race card over her controversial decision to send her son to a top private school.

The Labour leadership contender defended sending her son James to a £10,000-a-year school claiming: 'West Indian mums will go to the wall for their children.'

Miss Abbott also risked fury among her white colleagues in the Labour Party by saying they would 'never understand' the Afro-Caribbean culture of parents wanting to do the best for their children.

The remarks brought accusations that she was being hypocritical and was insulting parents who are part of the mainstream education system.

Miss Abbott, a Left-winger who once attacked Tony Blair and Harriet Harman for sending their children to selective state schools, has come under fire repeatedly from Labour colleagues and activists for the decision she made over her son.

Personally I think she would make a fine leader of the modern Labour Party.

You go girl!
