Died at Firvale Hospital; Buried on May 28, 1920 in Consecrated ground;

Grave Number 5520, Section C4 of City Road Cemetery, Sheffield.

any amateur historians out there who know about the heeley history and in particular the barbers on queens road at Heeley? the chadwicks had the barber shop from around 1880-1940ish, any info or old pictures would be of interest?

Did it later become Reg Varney's ? On the same side as Morley's newsagent.

 

Ann Morley was the first girl that I ever kissed, but I was only 7. Think that she moved to Brum.

the burial you mentioned is almost certainly her grandad as he died quite young according to her dad. just out of interest how did you pull up the info on the grave number etc?

after her grandad died his wife took over the shop and it changed from a hairdressers to tobaconist type shop. been corrected also that the burial mentioned is her great uncle not grandad. very interesting so far thanks
